1. Requirements

  • Competent in fundamentals functions of a residential or commercial property requirements.

2. Creative and Artistic Ability:

  • Strong sense of aesthetics, including colour, texture, and spatial awareness.
  • Ability to conceptualize & realize design ideas creatively & correctly.

3. Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in design software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other 3D modelling tools.
  • Understanding of building codes, safety regulations, BCA, HDB & all statutory compliance.

4. Project Management:

  • Strong organizational skills to handle singular or multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.

5. Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, vendors, and contractors.
  • Strong presentation skills for pitching ideas and designs to clients.

6. Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve design and construction issues.
  • Creative thinking to come up with innovative solutions to design challenges.

7. Attention to Detail:

  • Keen eye for details to ensure design elements are precise and meet quality standards.
  • Meticulous in selecting materials, finishes, and furnishings.

Training will be provided for non-experience candidates.
Guidance and mentoring will be provided for junior level designers to elevate to senior positions.
